It all started with a love for dogs.

The Lebanon County Kennel Club (LCKC) was organized in 1991 by a group of dog enthusiasts. Our group works hard to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs by promoting awareness of dog welfare, responsible dog ownership, and ethical dog breeding and breeders.

Our members are passionate about informing the public about the dangers of purchasing a puppy from a commercial breeder or "puppy mill" as opposed to purchasing one from a reputable, conscientious breeder.

To fulfill this mission, the LCKC provides obedience courses, show dog handling classes, seminars, and health clinics for little or no cost. The club held its first AKC Dog Show in April 1999 and continues holding this annual event every April at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Giving back to the community.

Club members and their dogs also participate in several community-based activities. The LCKC is proud to have initiated most of the very first "dog" events in the Lebanon area. Some of those events have included:

  • Fundraising Dog Walk

  • Rabies Clinic

  • Tattoo Clinic

  • Microchip Clinic

  • Dogshow/Match

  • Health Seminar

  • Low-Cost Dog Training Classes

  • Dog Owner Day

We have helped hundreds—if not thousands—of area residents find the right dog. We’ve also helped hundreds of people train their dogs and keep them healthy! We have a firm belief that by helping our fellow citizens, we are also helping the dogs that are in their care.

The Lebanon County Kennel Club is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers. The club is AKC-affiliated and welcomes all dog lovers. The general public is invited to attend the membership meetings, which are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at Moravian church of Lebanon, 1115 Birch Rd, Lebanon, PA.
